Hello there - I'm Deb! I have been teaching for over 20 years and love sharing knowledge in a fun and engaging manner. Because everyone learns in different ways, I am passionate about teaching students using methods that work for each person individually. My goal with every student is to determine how to provide you with information in a way that is easy for you to understand - and to have fun while learning together!
My teaching style is laid-back and engaging. I think learning should be fun and interesting, so I like to use creative ways of learning a new language - we can learn the words of popular songs, or talk about our favorite movies or Netflix series. These are great ways to increase your fluency in conversational English. In my experience, the best way to quickly improve your speaking skills is for you to SPEAK. So, my main goal during our lessons is to allow you to speak as much as possible. I create lessons tailored to your interests, with new vocabulary in each lesson and discussion questions for speaking practice.
