Account and Profile

Please make sure that the information stated here is correct. The given information will be checked during the ID proof.

You can teach a maximum of two subjects on BLUEXEE.

The hourly rate can be decided yourself. Set a lower rate in the beginning to get more students to your profile. You can change it anytime. You can also have a look at the other teachers’ profiles to get an idea of what a good profile could look like.

Work Experience and Education

Please include two or three experiences that outline your qualification as a qualified teacher. To work with BLUEXEE you don't need a teaching certificate. Your certificate will not be published but is used as a proof, as BLUEXEE makes a difference between Professional Teacher (including teaching certificate or similar university degree) and Tutor (includes no experience or teaching experience, students).

You can apply as a Professional Teacher if you

Have a university degree in teaching as a foreign or second language

Have a professional employment as a language teacher

Note: Any necessary documents must be uploaded to the "Certificates" section

Have a teaching Certificate like CELTA, TEFL, etc.

In case you have worked with other language teaching platforms, your application is usually processed faster, so please make sure to state this accordingly on the application form.

Profile Description

Introduce yourself and welcome your viewers or students to your classroom. Include your background, what is your work history? What is your education background? Students also like to read about you as a person, so make sure to mention family, pets, hobby, or interest (just a few). Let potential students know, that you want to teach them so write a few lines about your teaching style and why you like teaching.

Write a headline that gives a short impression of you as a teacher. A good example could be "IELTS Certified teacher with 5 years of Experience".

Video Introduction

The video introduction should match your written introduction, so make sure to include an introduction and welcome your viewers or students to your classroom. Speak about your work and educational background and introduce yourself and speak about your family and your interests shortly, so that the students get a personal impression about you. Let potential students know, what are your reasons to teach and how you approach your teaching online.

It is mandatory to upload an introduction video, you can change the video anytime. After uploading your video, you can watch and re-record your video before submitting. It is worth having a look at other teachers’ videos to get an impression on how to record a good video.
